This unit introduces you to a variety of digital media. You will learn to operate a variety of computer software and hardware - this includes computers, printers, digital cameras - in the creation of a multimedia presentation to promote the school. We will be looking at a variety of WEB 2.0 Tools and learning how to manage and incorporate digital images/video to create presentations that let others in the community know about our school and all it has to offer.
Your Task

You have been commissioned to design and develop a short factual documentary – a digital story, using digital media. Systematically, you’ll work through a sequence to help develop your documentary skills. A good documentary doesn’t just happen – it’s carefully planned. Your planning, exploration and final decisions will need to be documented. This documentation can be created and stored in a folio on paper or electronically. You can attempt this task as a group effort with members responsible for specific roles.
